Description
Add a little luxury to your daily routine! Use a variety of ribbons and borders to make these simple, quick bags into exquisite masterpieces. Renaissance Ribbon Bags are perfect for travel or everyday use and great for gifts, too! You’ll love the extra-easy zipper installation and beautifully-finished interior no unfinished seams!
The flat-bottomed zippered pouches in two sizes stand up and open wide to keep all your essentials in one place. Soft and Stable provides stability and gentle protection for contents.
The small bag measures 5-3/4in H x 5-1/2in to 7in W x 2in D and the large bag measures 5in H x 7-1/2in to 10-1/2in W x 3in D. The exterior of the bags are made using ribbons and velvet border.
Renaissance Ribbons exquisite woven jacquard ribbons are available from Sew Hot by the yard. 1.25 yards of each: 1½”, ⅜”, (ribbons) and 5″ border print will make one small and one large bag. At this time we are not able to get the Renaissance Velvet borders, however any cotton or jacquard coordinating border print will look just as beautiful. Ribbons that you can use to give the illusion of an additional border are recommended below.
Each bag uses just one side of a piece of zipper tape, so one 30in double-slide zipper will make both bags!
Every paper pattern includes a coupon for the value of an Add-on Video. This is a $5.00 value. Use the coupon to get the video for free on the By Annie website.

To make the bag in a Green/Gold theme you can use (1.25 yards of each Ribbon and 30cm of fabric full width):
- TK-32-10-C2R Tula Pink Green on Gold Wanderer 3/8in Ribbon
- TK-30-38-C1 Tula Pink Ribbon – Chipmunk Mint on Grey – 1.5 in
- PWTP099-STARL Spirit Animal Re-Tweet Starlight fabric. This fabric has no “border” so to give the illusion of a third border you could add:
- TK-22-22-C2 Tula Pink Ribbon – Indigo Lantern Aqua and Lime 7/8 inch
To make the bag in a Red/Orange (using ribbons similar to ones shown) theme you can use (1.25 yards of each Ribbon and 30cm of fabric full width):
- OB-03-10-C1 Mini Suns on Red Ribbon 3/8in
- OB-04-38-C1 Red Birds on Black 1 1/2 inch Ribbon
- 4548-110 Yoko Saito Centenary 21st Yarn Dyed Black with Brown – This fabric has no “border” so to give the illusion of a third border you could add:

Shipping & Delivery
Shipping and Delivery Information
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the next working day.
Please note that during exceptionally busy times (eg Black Friday sales, birthday sales, etc) orders will take longer to ship than usual.
We ship with Royal Mail both in the UK and internationally. Occasionally for international parcels over UPS we may need to ship with UPS or another company.
We charge a flat rate delivery fee of £3.00 for delivery in the UK for orders less than £45.
Orders over £45 for UK delivery qualify for free shipping.
International orders are charged at a flat rate delivery fee of £10 for shipping worldwide.
Next day delivery is available for a flat rate fee of £9.00.
Local orders can be collected. If your postcode is local the 'Local Pickup' option will be available at checkout. When you receive an email saying your order has been completed this is when it is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Royal Mail First Class delivery in the UK takes 1-2 working days on average. Royal Mail Second Class delivery in the UK takes 3-5 working days on average.
Royal Mail Next Day Delivery is delivered the next working day before 1pm (some conditions apply).
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed takes 7-10 days on average. However, parcels are stopped by customs and can take several weeks to clear customs. Your tracking number will be added to your order when it is shipped so you should be able to keep an eye on where your parcel is in the process.
All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.
Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.
Please contact us via phone on 01253 370190 or email staff@sewhot.co.uk with your order number if your order has not arrived. Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery via Royal Mail, especially during busy periods.
We accept returns of unused, unopened items in saleable condition within 30 days of the order.
We do not accept returns of cut fabric as this has been cut off the bolt specifically for your order.
Please contact us on staff@sewhot.co.uk to let us know if you are returning an item. Return postage is not paid unless the item being returned is faulty or damaged.
General Shipping Information
We aim to ship all orders placed by 1pm the same day, apart from during busy sale times. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday via Royal Mail. A Local Pickup option is available at checkout for local customers. See the tabs on the left for more detailed shipping and delivery information.
Combining or Changing Orders
We are always happy to combine, change, or add to orders to help you save on shipping costs.
However, we do ask that you notify us before 12 noon on the day your order is due to ship. After this time it is likely your order will have been packaged and booked for shipping, and we will not be able to change it.
