“When I was a child I believed that every hill I saw was simply where a dinosaur laid down and died and then grass grew over it. I have no idea where this information came from but to my 6 year old mind this was a flawless piece of logic. I used to look out the window and try to guess which kind of dinosaur each hill was hiding while checking my children’s encyclopedia of pre-historic animals. I was pretty good at it, considering this was my own theory I was correct 100% of the time. As an adult the dinosaur wing is still my first stop at the Natural History Museum.
Dinosaurs are amazing and huge and mysterious. They lived tens of millions of years ago and the fascination with these giant creatures still exists today. Is it their size? Definitely. Is it about how differently they moved and lived? For sure. Is it how little we still know about them and the world they existed in? Absolutely.
Everything that I do as a fabric designer is about indulging my childhood fantasies. I try to hold on to all of the things that we so easily let go of as we grow up like wonder, amazement, creative logic and delight. Typically, dinosaur fabrics are for children and I don’t know who made that decision but I wildly disagree. Roar! is whimsical take on fancy dinosaurs for those of us who keep one foot firmly planted in fantasy. My prehistoric landscape is drenched in details and color. Here you will find a sophisticated T-Rex in a topiary, A Triceratops out for a stroll on a windy parkway path, Happy little hidden Raptors in a dainty damask and Pterodactyls taking time to smell the flowers. It’s just your average lazy afternoon in the garden with the giants of Earth’s history.” – Tula Pink

Shipping & Delivery
Shipping and Delivery Information
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the next working day.
Please note that during exceptionally busy times (eg Black Friday sales, birthday sales, etc) orders will take longer to ship than usual.
We ship with Royal Mail both in the UK and internationally. Occasionally for international parcels over UPS we may need to ship with UPS or another company.
We charge a flat rate delivery fee of £3.00 for delivery in the UK for orders less than £45.
Orders over £45 for UK delivery qualify for free shipping.
International orders are charged at a flat rate delivery fee of £10 for shipping worldwide.
Next day delivery is available for a flat rate fee of £9.00.
Local orders can be collected. If your postcode is local the 'Local Pickup' option will be available at checkout. When you receive an email saying your order has been completed this is when it is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Royal Mail First Class delivery in the UK takes 1-2 working days on average. Royal Mail Second Class delivery in the UK takes 3-5 working days on average.
Royal Mail Next Day Delivery is delivered the next working day before 1pm (some conditions apply).
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed takes 7-10 days on average. However, parcels are stopped by customs and can take several weeks to clear customs. Your tracking number will be added to your order when it is shipped so you should be able to keep an eye on where your parcel is in the process.
All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.
Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.

We accept returns of unused, unopened items in saleable condition within 30 days of the order.
We do not accept returns of cut fabric as this has been cut off the bolt specifically for your order.
Please contact us on staff@sewhot.co.uk to let us know if you are returning an item. Return postage is not paid unless the item being returned is faulty or damaged.
General Shipping Information
We aim to ship all orders placed by 1pm the same day, apart from during busy sale times. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday via Royal Mail. A Local Pickup option is available at checkout for local customers. See the tabs on the left for more detailed shipping and delivery information.
Combining or Changing Orders
We are always happy to combine, change, or add to orders to help you save on shipping costs.
However, we do ask that you notify us before 12 noon on the day your order is due to ship. After this time it is likely your order will have been packaged and booked for shipping, and we will not be able to change it.
